We are Utrecht University Model United Nations (UUMUN), a group of highly motivated and ambitious students from Utrecht. We participate in Model United Nations conferences all around the world. To prepare ourselves, we train bi-weekly, in skills such as speeching, lobbying, and strategising. We host events with academics and experts from the field and influential companies. All this is facilitated by our partners in the private and public sector, who help us to achieve our goals.

A Model United Nations (MUN) Conference is an academic simulation of the United Nations. Each delegate represents a country in a specific UN committee and together with other delegates from all over the world, they try to find solutions to real world issues using the policies and perspectives of their assigned country. The countries assigned range from the United States and China to Cote d’Ivoire and Chile.

Conferences

There are many MUN’s organised every year, everywhere around the world. UUMUN participates in two international MUN’s each year, these are OxiMUN in Oxford and Harvard National MUN in Boston.
