The Teams of UUMUN
Every UUMUN delegation has 17 delegates, who are divided over three teams. Of the five board members, three board members are Heads of these teams. The teams Corporate Relations (CR), Content (C) and Public Affairs (PA) have besides from participating in the trainings of UUMUN, an important task in the realisation of the UUMUN activities. Every team has their own task and together, we make it possible to go to Harvard and Oxford! Below you can find more information about the teams of UUMUN and their tasks!
Team Corporate Relations
Team Corporate Relations consists of four Delegation Members and the Head Corporate Relations. This year, Sophie, Merel, Job, Laurens and Emma will be responsible for the communication with our private sector partners. Starting from May 2021, we have been busy with approaching potential partners and creating interesting events. We, as UUMUN and Team Corporate Relations, find it important to cooperate with partners from a wide variety of sectors to provide students with a broad and realistic perspective of potential future employers. Together with our partners, we will organise two large events this year. These events allow students from around the country to connect with our partners and to develop their soft skills. Every year again, both students and partners are very enthusiastic about our initiatives. Next to our external events, Team Corporate Relations has organised internal trainings with our partners. Because of this, the current delegation and our alumni can further develop themselves. Are you interested in setting up a partnership with UUMUN? Team Content
Team Content mostly focuses on the development of the delegation. They are responsible for creating and giving training to the UUMUN delegation twice a week, as well as keeping track of individual goals and development of the delegation members. Because of this personal focus, Team Content helps to turn potential into valuable skills. Furthermore, Team Content designs Masterclasses for fellow students and high school students in order to share our knowledge with others, thereby engaging student populations in international relations and helping them develop their soft skills. Lastly, Team Content is responsible for keeping track of conferences, providing the delegation with conference-specific preparation and assigning delegates to committees, countries to represent and, for Harvard National Model United Nations, to match delegation members with their best duo partner. In order to contact Team Content, you can send an e-mail to content@uumun.nl.
Team Public Affairs
Team Public Affairs is responsible for a diverse set of tasks. Within a close-knit team we try to encompass a variety of goals. These diverse tasks are done by a group of motivated students: Daphne, Pepijn, Witold, Sem and Susana. Team PA will host two events this year. As part of making progress ourselves within the delegation, PA also tries to share the experiences and knowhow with others. Through our UUMUN Academy, we engage students in public speaking and lobbying. Furthermore, we provide Masterclasses to high-schools and other groups interested in improving their public speaking, lobbying or negotiation skills. Most importantly, PA maintains UUMUN’s close ties with the university through the deans, study associations and the educational staff. Over the years UUMUN has assisted the university with courses and training for academical students. Team Public Affairs proves that these differing responsibilities and projects are surmounted through keen diligence and amicable teamwork. To contact Team PA, you can send an e-mail to public-affairs@uumun.nl.
