UUMUN is more than a club — we’re a community dedicated to developing the next generation of diplomats, negotiators, and global thinkers.
OUR STORY
How it started
Founded in 2005 by a group of Utrecht University students passionate about international affairs, UUMUN began as a small club dedicated to Model United Nations. What started as a small initiative has grown into one of the Netherlands’ most active and successful university MUN organizations.
Today, we send delegations to prestigious international conferences, run year-round training programs, and have built a network of alumni now working in diplomacy, law, policy, and business across Europe and beyond.
Our growth reflects a simple truth: there’s an appetite for serious diplomatic training among university students. And we’re here to provide it.
