Working at Stek
Law students in the final stage of their bachelor’s degree or pursuing a master’s degree can gain practical experience with us as a student intern or working student. You will be involved in a wide variety of challenging legal matters. You will also participate in case law discussions and have the opportunity to attend court hearings. We offer opportunities both within specific practice groups and across the firm.
And of course, you are also welcome to join our firm-wide activities, including our weekly Friday afternoon drinks.
As a trainee lawyer, you will be given a significant level of responsibility from the outset and be directly involved in all aspects of a case or transaction. Thanks to our interdisciplinary approach, you will frequently collaborate with colleagues from other practice groups. This allows you to learn quickly, gain broad exposure to our practice, and build a strong foundation for your legal career from day one.

Are you exploring a legal career but still in the orientation phase? Join us for a casual introduction during a “Koffietje op het Leidse” (Coffee at Leidse). This gives you the opportunity to get a feel for our firm and get to know us in an informal and accessible way.

UTRECHT UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION
The Student Committee Utrecht University Fund, also known as ‘STUF’, commits itself to supporting student-led initiatives in Utrecht. Through its relationship with UUMUN, ‘STUF’, backs the development of public speaking skills and the international orientation of Utrecht’s students. The Yvoor Fund, as part of the Utrecht University Fund, grants scholarships to ambitious students to gain experience abroad.

Utrecht 4 Global Goals is an organization that tries to implement the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals voted upon by the United Nations on a local scale. Utrecht for Global Goals is led by the municipality of Utrecht. UUMUN is trying to help! During UUMUN events several goals will be discussed and during United Nations simulations these solutions for these goals are found.
De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek is a leading law firm both in the Netherlands and internationally. We have the pleasure of regularly organising inhouse days, events, and social activities with this firm. Moreover, we are proud to say that many of our alumni have been inspired to start their careers here. De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek provides legal services for the Ocean Cleanup in a pro bono format and has therefore been an important partner during the Road to Sustainability.
