UUMUN is looking for passionate, driven individuals to join our board and help lead our organization. Whether you’re applying for a board position or interested in a delegate position, there’s a role for you.

BOARD
President
- Leadership role
- 25-30 hrs/week
Lead UUMUN’s overall strategy and represent the organization internally and externally. The President manages the board, and ensures accountability.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Chair board meetings and delegate decisions
- Oversee all committee work and deadlines
- Represent UUMUN at university and external events
- Mentor team members and manage conflicts
- Report to the Committee of Recommendation
BOARD
Secretary-Treasurer
- Finance & organisation
- 25-30 hrs/week
Manage the foundation’s financial policy and secretarial tasks. The Secretary-Treasurer also organizes the delegation’s trips to conferences.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee UUMUN’s financial policy and health
- Carry out secretarial tasks for the foundation
- Organize conference travel
- Track income, expenses, and financial reporting
- Coordinate closely with the rest of the board
BOARD
Head of Corporate Relations
- Partnerships
- 25-30 hrs/week
Build and maintain UUMUN’s private-sector partnerships alongside Team Corporate Relations, and manage our network of 350+ alumni.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acquire and maintain partnerships with firms and organizations
- Organize in-house days and skills training with partners
- Chair weekly meetings with Team Corporate Relations
- Manage UUMUN’s alumni network and events
- Lead partner-facing events of your own design
BOARD
Head of Public Affairs
- Outreach & impact
- 25-30 hrs/week
Lead UUMUN’s societal impact through masterclasses and public events, and manage the relationship with Utrecht University.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organize masterclasses, public events, and academy days
- Manage UUMUN’s relationship with Utrecht University
- Lead Team Public Affairs in planning high-quality events
- Make MUN accessible to high school and university students
- Oversee masterclass sales that help fund UUMUN’s mission
BOARD
Head of Content
- Training & development
- 25-30 hrs/week
Design and deliver the delegation’s training program alongside Team Content, preparing delegates in speeching, lobbying, negotiating, and strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and execute the delegation’s training schedule
- Teach lobbying, speeches, negotiation, and strategy
- Manage contact with alumni and external trainers
- Deliver Masterclasses to external parties
- Lead Team Content in supporting delegate development
DELEGATION
Delegate member
- Training & competition
- 16-20 hrs/week
Join the delegation and train alongside 16 fellow members in public speaking, lobbying, negotiation, and writing. Twice-weekly trainings prepare you to compete internationally.
INVOLVES
- Wednesday and Saturday trainings with your delegation
- Guidance from UUMUN Board members
- Placement in Team Corporate Relations, Public Affairs, or Content
- Competing at two distinguished international conferences as part of the delegation
ABOUT THESE ROLES
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Above all, we’re looking for people who are passionate about Model UN and committed to supporting our members. Board members also compete as delegates themselves, so expect roughly 25–30 hours a week. Delegate members train twice weekly alongside their team, at a lighter 16–20 hours a week.
